SynergyEmerging evidence
What is happening. EGCG and curcumin both activate the Nrf2 antioxidant pathway and inhibit NF-kB-driven inflammatory signaling, providing complementary antioxidant and anti-inflammatory actions in preclinical models.
Mechanism. Convergent Nrf2/ARE activation and NF-kB inhibition; complementary polyphenol antioxidant chemistry.
Recommendation. Reasonable to combine for antioxidant/anti-inflammatory support. Take both with food; clinical benefit of the combination in humans is not established.
