What is happening. Caffeinated green tea extract may add to salmeterol-related tremor, palpitations, and insomnia.
Mechanism. Additive sympathomimetic stimulation from caffeine and beta-2 agonism.
Recommendation. Avoid high-caffeine extracts if tremor, tachycardia, anxiety, or poor sleep occurs.
