What is happening. Panax ginseng (stimulating adaptogen) and Ashwagandha (calming adaptogen) are sometimes paired so that daytime stress resilience is supported without the overstimulation ginseng alone can cause.

Mechanism. Both modulate the HPA axis but with complementary CNS profiles; ginseng tends to be activating while ashwagandha is anxiolytic and sleep-supportive, potentially balancing arousal across the day.

Recommendation. A reasonable pairing for stress and fatigue: take ginseng in the morning and ashwagandha later in the day. Start at modest doses and monitor sleep and mood.
