What is happening. Vitamin K2 activates osteocalcin and matrix Gla protein, helping incorporate calcium into bone and limit vascular calcium deposition, which complements the calcium content of Ca-AKG in a bone-health context.

Mechanism. Vitamin K2 is a cofactor for gamma-carboxylation of osteocalcin and matrix Gla protein, supporting calcium deposition in bone and reducing soft-tissue calcification.

Recommendation. Pairing vitamin K2 (and vitamin D) with the calcium from Ca-AKG is reasonable for bone goals. No timing separation needed.
