What is happening. Concentrated extracts can both cause GI upset, and cassia cinnamon plus high-dose EGCG may increase liver-safety concerns.
Mechanism. Potential additive hepatic stress from coumarin and concentrated catechins.
Recommendation. Prefer low-coumarin cinnamon and avoid high-dose extract stacking in liver disease.
